"Faith" is not "science," and "science" is not "faith." However, this "rather-obvious observation" certainly does not invalidate either of them!

Fact is, these two "modes of human(?) inquiry" are not mutually-exclusive; nor are they even particularly in competition. One of them seizes upon "human observation, intellect, and reason" and drives it just as far as it can go; while the other chooses to (more or less ...) abandon this self-same thing. While some might ask, "which one is right?,"I suggest: "why [must we] choose?" As for me, I don't think that we do. In fact, I rather think that our lives will be that-much richer if we specifically don't! :eek: Do not both of these things have merit?

If it is only a matter of "quantity", then how do you explain the existence of morality in humans but not in animals? The ability to reason abstractly? The desire to worship a God?
