Taz.devil?

I don't see taz.devil and Isajera around any more. IMO this is strange because they are moderators, they were usually answering a lot of questions and now they're gone..
Does someone know what happened to them??

taz, unsure of, probably just busy.

isajera, moved out to LA for a editor job or something, probably busy too. But yeah, taz hasn't been around much lately.

Yeah I know, lately I have been going back and reading alot of the old posts, before my time (some good stuff if anyone has the interest and the time). taz was a big contributor back then, poor guy must be really busy now. When I first came on here, not just as a 1 questioner, but when I came back for me and decided to stay, taz and Finegan were like Batman and Robin, I would always see threads with them 2 together. It's really strange not to see them together, and not to see taz around as often.

It was like that when you were gone too though NSKL. I was wondering where you were, and when you were gonna come back. There were about 10-15 people back then that I remember very well that answered alot of the questions, and contributed alot to the bulk of the threads, but some of them went on summer vacations, and others just got busy I guess.

Cool

I think Tazman, better known as Tux Wayne, is busy hanging out in the Slack Cave. I dunno where he's been, no ICQ, wandered off the boards, probably just needed a vacation. I hope its treating him well.

Holy mis-compiled kernels Batman,

Ba ha ha ha, good one. You are right tundra, they are. I was just comparing them to such a team to give reference, not to "alias" them

Finegan and Taz sounds much better!

Tux Wayne, literally, lol. That's a good one man.

He does live near the evil empire, I bet he got suckered into going back to the dark side

Bill: "Taz, I am your father !"
Taz: "Nooooooo !!!!"
Bill: "Come to the dark side Taz !"
Taz: "Well, oki doki then."

I'm not far, take me around 2 hours to arrive in Redmond. Will start a recon mission, we must have taz back! Anyone have exploding Oakleys so I can look cool like Tom Cruise?

Don't worry, I won't take Bill completely out, I'll just grab Taz and go.

Extremely covert, but I think we can have taz back soon. Wish me luck, MasterC out...

P.S. While the subject has been brought up, has anyone seen that flash making fun of Star Wars. It raps about the death star, and things. If anyone knows how to find it or can provide a link, that'd be pretty funny and cool. Oh, and then there is this one:
http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/f...489408,00.html (Not really recommended for everyone if you know what I mean)
(and while you are there, although completely unrelated, still very funny:
http://www.ifilm.com/ifilm/product/f...421953,00.html )
Cool

Could this be true? Has the "Machine" eaten him? Say it ain't so daddy! How can it happen so easily? Or DOES it? I have it on good authority that his struggle with the dark side, although rough, had left him very worn out. I bet he shows up around here soon.

Wow! Taz must really be busy or working on something big... Or forgot about us and hopes we don't help him remember

Anybody have any solid info on where he's been (if he doesn't mind us knowing of course)

Cool

Nope, nada,

He hasn't logged into his public unix shell account since around then, as well as dropping his favorite IRC channel a few days later, disapeared from the mods list, and I even got as nosy as to grep through my access_log for his IP block (dialup, dhcp... gerghhh). I got worried and sent Taz a mail a while after that, no reply. Whatever his reasons for stepping back from the web, I've got to respect them. I was going to write his snail mail address, which I got when I mailed him a copy of Slack 8.1 (you try downloading an ISO from dialup), but I figured that would be a bit of an intrusion. I just hope he's doing well.

Cheers,

Finegan

He must have seen horrors at Redmond and retreated to a solitary life in a monastery...
I just hope nothing serious happened...

There was a guy who once said: "There's a hole in my pocket dear Liza, dear Liza!" Did he ever get that fixed? Anyhow, on topic, i've got the 411 on taz.devil and I've got a call in to see about making a reappearance. I think i'm swaying him this way. ;o)
