Aussie can be a LQ Addict, but I presume he chooses to keep the Guru title for now..

"Number of posts should not be a determining factor of posting frequency" - I am personally quite happy to wait for my 1000'th post, it'll come at some point, as will old age , but congrats to you both. I am addamant that I will not take the 'Guru' title, I am not, and shall not be for a very long time. I am quite happy to admit that I am an addict.

Awwww... guys you're such old softies!

I don't speak for Taz, who's about as self-effacing as they come, but I'm still a gimp. I'm really happy that Jeremy created the Addict alternate title a few weeks back. I was tempted to run it up to 999 and then just create the login Finagain.

This place is really just too much fun.

Thanks guys.

Cheers,

Finegan

don't you worry about that X11... let's go down the list...

taz and finegan have 20 fingers... on each hand
acid has 20 fingers on each hand too... but he has 3 hands.
trickykid knows how to type with his toes so and walk with his hands... now there's something to think about. the girls have been fighting each other to get at him...
as for aussie, any post with the word slack, slackware or slackie in it, you'll see him there shining the torch.

actually, these guys have been the most helpful and most knowledgable people on this forum(ok there are others but sorry i don't have the space to put down all the helpful souls here) and they set out actively to help. they also make the effort to post friendly and funny stuff to entertain the people here... so that adds up to a lot of posts...

u'll get there . i promised them a round of beers when i hit 1000. hope i can fulfil that one day

Yeah Gui, but the round has to be distributed over 3 continents and about 24000 miles, er 40000Km or so give or take. Let's see, Taz on the west coast in Seattle, and Aussie down under... What's a good central meeting point? Hmm...

Beers accross the planet.

Solidarity,

Finegan

Unite the world in beers? Hmm, sounds kinda neat! We could get into a chat room, call it LQ After Hours and pop open a few on gui's 1000th...

hm... a good estimate would be congo i think?

lol... well when the time comes, perhaps we'll see who wants to meet up and mebbe we'll do some travelling... (economically unsound, paying so much money to get a free beer... )

Yeah, but it'll be a free beer. You can't deny a free beer.
