You're not stupid - and there is no "enemy territory" for me. Actually, that did go over my head. However, my God owns the whole planet, so you're not my enemy, wherever you live!

I still don't like useless junk like fortunes that I never installed (intentionally) coming up on my computer. Are those the things that pop up with every terminal and konsole?

I'd like to fix some of the bugs, like when I use the left mouse and highlight text in a konsole, then come back to paste it into a post here in Mozilla, the stinking keyboard won't function.

You gotta really be a saddist, or hate M$ as much as I do, to keep working on Linux so much. Sometimes I just want to throw my comps into the village behind us!!!

well, I was only joking about that enemey stuff.

Fortunes are that stuff that give you a nice/stupid/whatever phrase/anecdote, whenever you login on a console or open a new console.

How do you try to paste stuff in Mozilla?

If you just use the mouse to select it then you have to use the middle-click button of your mouse to insert - maybe you have to emulate it with a left-and-right-click if you only have a two button mouse.

If you want to paste it with a right-click+paste or CTRL-V or Shift-Insert then you have to copy it into the clipboard before as those are two seperate memories. If you cannot copy it because your console doesn't like right clicks try CTRL-Insert to copy it into the clipboard. Maybe that helps. (just tried on xterm but there it doesn't work)

Keep xterm open and start replying to this thread in Mozilla at the same time. Start writing in this thread, and then go highlight something (left mouse button) in xterm. Then come back here and use the middle mouse button to paste, and watch your keyboard stop working. I'm not totally sure if that's the right sequence, but the keyboard failure is a bug that's been talked about before. It was so bad with Firebird that I dumped it months ago. It happens in Mozilla 1.4 also.

And thanks for explaining the fortunes junk. Yes, I have only read one worth repeating since I've used Linux -

"By perseverance the snail reached the Ark."

Though I can't understand why you hate them. Especially the unamerican are cool (no offense)
Hello my German friend,

That works, but somehow the remainder of the word login was left off in your post, so that lo~ should be login instead.

Code:
chmod -x /etc/profile.d/bsd-games-login-fortune.*
