Hi,
The guys at my new workplace run Windows Small Server 2003 (or something similarly sounding). I was given the URL to access my work desktop remotely. The address is: https://mail.ourdomainname.co.uk/remote
Something seems to be blocking the access there from my home network. I tried different browsers (including IE) but I don't even get to the page where I can log in. I asked my colleague to come over my house with his laptop and an internet usb dongle. It has just confirmed my suspicions - when he connected to my wifi network he couldn't access it either (with a dongle it was fine).
Now, my question is how I can find out what (port?) is being blocked on the router?
Seems to me the guy should know which ports are used to setup the remote connection.

I agree but he is away and will be back in 4 weeks time. I don't want to mess with their server as it's a production environment and I haven't got a clue how to check it on a windows server so I don't want to touch it. I thought it'd be possible to check it from my end.
If the router support it, you could forward everything on the router to your box.
Perhaps your ISP is blocking some ports?

Thanks repo, I didn't want to forward everything so I run nmap on the domain name and found out 2 ports that seemed likely to be responsible for it. It's running fine now.
