A friend of mine is doing his Economics Honours dissertation on the costs of linux, and has set up a survey to help him accomplish this goal. He has used linux before but isn't a regular user, so if you feel that it could be improved in some way please let him know.
If you've got some time to waste give him a hand and take the survey
The purpose of this survey is to gain an insight, from Linux users, into any difficulties they initially had with Linux and the transition from Windows to Linux.
I hope he recognises that the transition is less painful from M$ to linux than from numpty to M$. Any new system has a learning curve and we aren't born with innate XP awareness just yet :-)
Went to do your survey but it wants my age and name and email address....no need for your friend to know any of that so he goes without.
This thread has been reported as advertising several times. That being said, I don't think it's advertising per se, but it is more appropriate in General. Moved.
Thanks for the comments. My friend has changed the survey so that e-mail addresses are not required now.
Don't know why someone would report this as advertising? It's not like he will be making money off this survey, it is for his honour's dissertation. With that said, if it is more suitable in General rather than Linux General thanks for moving it there.
