Actually I think you'll find it's what's most commonly referred to as an "opinion"...

Tattoos are ugly...OK, if thats your taste then thats your taste. Not everyone thinks that.

You dont have to keep the tattoo as you originally got it, the better tats I've seen tend to evolve over time.

With the way things work in the tattoo world, its more likely that a debian tattoo would be seen as some sort of bad celtic design, or a 'pagan'/tribal symbol. They are very common in tattooing.....and I've met somebody who got a spiral very similar to the debian symbol as a scarification.

If you think tats are ugly, scarification is a lot worse.

BTW, I'm tattoo free, and the only scars I have are due to accidents, not paying some remnant from the neanderthal age to cut me with a scapel or hot coil.
