Knoppix rocks!!!

I have just download Knoppix to rescue the data from a hosed windows system. This was my first experience with Knoppix. It is really cool. I was able to easily configure the nic to access the network, and transfer the data I needed. I am going to burn a few extra copies and give them to people when I talk about linux and they seem interested. It gives them a chance to run and try linux without having to do an installation. Just thought I would pass this on to anybody that does not know about www.knoppix.com or has thought about it and haven't done it yet.

You are correct about knoppix and there are many more like it. Do a search and you will find a number of threads to back you up. For other cd based distros go here:
