ie only for msn video!!!

ok wtf is up with this: i go to try to watch eminem's mockingbird video on msn videos(they have an exclusive) but "the MSN video service only functions with IE or their MSN Browser. It doesn't work with Firefox nor Opera."

i now hate microsoft..before i just didnt like windows
but they are specifically going out of their way to make sure that their videos only work in IE and MSN browser

isnt this against the anti-trust lawsuit? doesnt microsoft need its products to be compatible with other software?

now whats even worse microsoft directs u to a page that says
Quote:
Welcome to the all-new MSN Entertainment!

Get ready to enjoy our new look and features.

The page you were trying to reach has changed or no longer exists.
wtf is that... they make u think they dont have that video!?!!!!! when they DO
and new features...yes i know what the new feature is!!! and im deleting windows cause of it

man....this just pushed me over the line
windows uninstall tonight
no more dual-booting

Their "only use OUR software" attitude was one of the major reasons I switched.

(the biggest reason was all the antispyware / antiadware / antivirus / firewall updates and scandisk / defrag crap)

Enjoy the freedom of single-booting Linux.

I can't understand this rant, sorry. It's MS technology and it requires it's own browser. You can't buy a Chevy, try to put a Ford engine on it (and fail) then blame the Chevy for not making it compatible with Ford technologies...

I really think it's sad when a non-ms page uses non standard code and requires IE to display properly though... but a MS site is ok to ask for IE and Windows Media Player. It's their "territory".

Also, <sarcasm>in a few years, not being able to watch eminem will be actually good for you, so MS is actually helping you to avoid it</sarcasm>

Alas, I am reminded of my favorite cubicle post-up of all time:
Code:
Windows (n.) : A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell
to a sixteen bit operating system originally coded for a
four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company
that can't stand one bit of competition.
