my opinion is that in the 'economy of typing', capitals are usually unnecessary.
and besides is i really that difficult to translate into I within context.
or mite to might
or thru to through
...
do you have examples of posts where lack of capilization/ punctuation made it illegible ?

I can't say that it makes it illegible, but it is a bit disorienting.

^ fair enough. but some of the most grammatically correct legalese can be more than just disorienting.

I agree.

Whenever I try to read a lisence (such as the GPL of people posting links to nasty EULAs) my brain just can't get any info out of it.

capilization, lisence, ...

While I'm now lenient with them, I used to be picky with poor grammar and spelling but gave up after a while. It is usually counter-productive, tend to upset people you want to help and derail the threads.

I only politely ask to rephrase when the post is too unintelligible for me.

Just one, small, itty-bitty thing about the poll (Not sure if anyone noticed):In the poll part that says
Quote:
These people have a right to recieve help, but the posts are still gibberish.
Did you know there IS a built-in spell checker for posts? (BTW, it is spelled 'receive'...'I' before 'E' except after 'C'...)

Just asking....

Very true! Likely some of us dislike legalese, as much or more so, than a mere forum post that lacks some capitalization or punctuation.

But seriously. Is it *that* difficult to capitalize a letter "I" when referring to oneself? Ehhh..... Whatever..

P.S - i'd liek 2 report post3 26 4 speling probleM zaierp U shud no better Definitely Ridiculous!
