gif animation question


i have 2 gif files.
one of them is animated the other is not

can i put them together, and still keep it animated?
how would i do this?
keep in mind im pretty much a newbie to the gimp, and any photoshop software for that matter

Not sure how you'd do it in Gimp, but in Photoshop....

1) Open your animated gif. It will open as a single image with multiple layers.

2) Open the other gif, in the layer menu choose duplicate layer, set the destination as the animated gif document, click ok.

3) In the anim gifs document choose 'Save for web' from the file menu, tweak the transparency, colour depth and slide duration.

I tried that in the gimp, but it didnt work
