ftp open invite


Hi all,

Whats up, I just got my ftp server up and would like to invite you all to use it just don't use it for things that can get me in troble (i.e. blaster worm, viruses, child porn, ect.)

The ip is: ip removed
user name: linuxquestions
password: linuxquestions

pipe: down:2100kbs
up:500kbs
cpu: 1GHz AMD Athlon
RAM: 256 133
HDD: 20gig 72,000RPM no raid yet
Found the box in the trash added the RAM and HDD cost of box when new: $900
cost to me $80
Mobo: GygaByte 7VEML

Hi all,

Its 11:58 here in Fla. I'm going to bed and won't be checking my e-mail tell I wake up. I am leaving the server (hey, I can call it that now 8^)) on all night. Enjoy my server and tell me what you think. I'll check back tomorrow. Good night Its now 12:03.

Nice speed... but I'd be careful if I were you... some people are just plain irresponsible.

Do you have any plans for it? May I suggest mirroring distros or something similar... if space/bandwidth cap is not an issue for you

Uhm, all I get is "connection refused" when I try anything. I can log on, but cannot put files, or ls.

EDIT: It was me: passive mode dosen't work well.

Well, maybe it wasn't me, after all. with passive i got "connection refused," but with normal, it just times out!

using gftp, and ftp on the CL
