I think I'm getting old. I just can't stand all that pop/rock/rap anymore. Have heard it all a million times before. I'll take this any time

I have a feeling modern rap is not very well liked in this community.

No, it just quickly spread into wild rumors and idiotic theories, such as 'Biggie was responsible for the death of 2Pac', then Puff Daddy was responsible for the killing of 'Biggie', or whatever other idiot theory out there exists.

commercial rap lately has become idiotic. i understand that the tweens are our latest big demographic so radio stations plays to that base. but most of what they play has some dumb dance-a-long (superman, chicken noodle soup, ...) and they are like clowns dancing to get paid. but i do respect that they found a short-cut into making millions.

unfortunately the great lyricists dont get as much airplay and eventually dont make enough to support themselves (r.i.p. ruckus records). east coast has the best lyracists:
common, lupe fiasco, talib kweli, gangstar, ... these are the ones that should be selling multi-platinum albums but unfortunately the industry disagrees.
