Dumb screen capture question

Ok, I'll probably be flogged for this one, but:

How do I do a "screen capture"?

Let the flogging commence!

Just open gimp, and File > Acquire > Screen Shot.

Its easy from there.

import -window root root.jpeg

man import

if this doesn't work check to see if imagemagick is installed.

Ok, I left something out... This is a Windows XP machine. I wasn't aware that would make a difference! Excuse my ignorance!

In most cases you don't even need to use ctrl, just press prtscn to take a screenshot.

And cjwsb, next time you post a question, you should really post what OS your doing this in. This is a linux site so if you don't specify Windows or any other, we assume its Linux.
