screen capture app?


is there a program for mdk 10 that does screen capture? i.e. i sometimes want to take a snapshot of desktop.

Yes. There is a program called ksnapshot. It's from the
kdegraphics-ksnapshot package.

scrot is a good command line snapshot taker.

or simply:

import -window root -delay 3 filename.jpg

will take a full screen shot after 3 second delay. If you leave out the '-window root' bit it gives you a cursor to choose the window to shoot.
