I have seen some excellent ASCII artwork on this forum. How do you create them? Is there some special editor which makes it easy to generate ASCII pictures or do you "draw" them manually with a text editor?
I'm asking this, since there are a few libraries in Linux for ASCII art and so I thought it would be interesting to know.
Here's a web interface for turning jpg, png,or gif images to ascii art: http://www.glassgiant.com/misc_ascii.php
I'm sure more could be found with a search. Also, for more ascii fun, check out the AAlib or libcaca video output drivers for mplayer, to watch ascii movies...
