So you are saying that a company should not take money from a competitor? If microsoft wants to spend(waste) money on a linux site, that is a bad thing? Also, don't these sites get the advertising from a pool of advertisements, for which they are paid and do not have a say in which ones are run on their site?

There is nothing wrong with a company taking money from a competitor except that it looks lame and hypocritical. I'm not commenting on the moral aspects of it though.

"prohibitively expensive"?! That sounds more like Windows Server 2003 than Linux!!!
Micro$oft wants at least close to $500 dollars just for Windows Server 2003 Small Business Edition .
That likely has an arbitrary server connection limit set to something insanely low.

This issue has been reported in 2 other threads already, both of which have been closed. Bottom line: if you have an issue with a particular website and/or disagree with its policies, please take it up with that website directly. Along those lines, it really doesn't fit in with the purpose or spirit of LQ to urge boycotts. -- J.W.
