Yes, but the thing is that Linux does not suck! In fact, Linux is the best thing that ever did happen to computers in general. And Linux is not
everybodys, oh no, Linux is for those who like freedom, who don't like to depend on someone's will.
May I say a few things like what about these titles in the press;
1. Macedonia installs 5,000 Linux PCs in schools
link
2. South Korea moves 4,700 public desktops to Linux
link
3. Linux displaces 2,460 Windows XP desktops in rural Italian schools
link
4. China to install 142,000 Linux PCs in classrooms
link
5. Linux saves Singapore's national library 30% over Windows 2003
link
6. Indonesia adopts JDS on Linux as a national desktop
link
7. Sun JDS on Linux selected by Japanese government program to promote the use of open-source desktops in schools throughout the country
link
8. Australian firm migrates hundreds of desktops to Linux
link
9. The French Tax Authority deployed 950 Linux servers
10. The German Federal Ministry of the Interior in Berlin announced a government deal with IBM Corp. to purchase hardware and software products that support Linux. In May 2003 it chose to run Linux on all those computers instead of Microsoft products
11. In June 2002, an Italian Green Party senator tabled a bill that would commit Italy's civil service to using Open Source
12. The Dutch Government wants to promote openness for public sector information systems.
13. In April 2002, the government of a western region of Spain called Extremadura, with 1.1 million inhabitants, launched a campaign to convert all the area's computer systems, in government offices, businesses and homes, from the Windows operating system to Linux.
14. The UK government is already an occasional user of Linux. An expert at the British government's computer security headquarters, CESG (Communications-Electronics Security Group - a sister organisation of the UK's GCHQ) even endorsed Linux as the most secure computer architecture available of its type. Linux is also in use in some areas of the UK police force, apparently for security reasons. (Source; IT-Director.com, 2002)
And I could go on and on like that. But all that proves that Linux sucks so bad. Right. It may be, I say may be, that those who think that Linux sucks are maybe, I say maybe, those whos opinion sucks!
But theres something else I want to post here and again I won't answer to
onebuck but he'll uderstand that I get a little distracted by some participants here. And Jim I did read your post too - that's the problem that should be fixed. I'll comment on it later.

As such, Europeans are probably more aware of the open source movement than citizens of most other parts of the world. SUSE especially has to be commended for maintaining their distribution agreements with many retailers around Europe. While practically all other distribution makers have abandoned the shrink-wrapped business model and rely exclusively on digital delivery of their software, SUSE Linux boxes continue to be available in book and software stores throughout Germany, Austria and most other European countries. In fact, walking into any medium-size news stand in Germany is like entering a Linux paradise, as you are likely to find perhaps a dozen Linux-related magazines in both German and English. Many of these magazines are regular monthly publications designed for Linux beginners, with friendly tutorials and easy explanations. This is in sharp contrast with the United States, where the only available Linux magazines are Linux Journal and Linux Magazine, both of which cater for senior system administrators, rather than general public. At present, there is no US-made printed magazine targeting Linux beginners.
...All this evidence leads us to believe that Europe is now the undisputed leader in developing strategies for migration to Linux and open source software. In the process, it has created a vibrant open source economy, as well as a strong awareness among its population to resist controversial laws favoring large software monopolies and their commercial agendas. The tide is unstoppable. Let's hope that other regions will follow Europe's example.

Those are some of the things I had in mind when I said what
you can do. May you think about it. Well, this is getting really deep. That's it for the moment. I'm tired.
Linux definitely sucks, so as milions of people using it. In fact, Europe sucks and the whole world sucks!
