MySQL timesout when booting up after updating RH9.0 to Fedora

I upgraded from RH 9.0 to Fedora Core 1 earlier tonight....and now, at boot up, it hangs when trying to load MySQL. Once it times out, the boot sequence proceeds as normal. Ironically, once the machine us up, MySQL is up and running.

Of course, RHN is down. No updates to files until that's back on line sometime Sunday.

Anyway, has anyone else had a similar problem?

Thanks.
