Lost XP FC1 Dual-Boot Options - How do I get it back?
Hi, folks.
When I installed FC1 to dual boot with my XP Home, everything went fine. FC1 was on my secondary hard drive and working great. I even rebooted several times to ensure that I could indeed boot into either XP or FC1. Everything's great, right?
Here's the twist...after about four or five boots, the system now boots into FC1 ONLY! What's more bizarre is that I went into the bootloader utility and my XP still showed up as an option. I set bootloader to boot into XP, BUT when I reboot, it still goes directly into FC1.
What can I do to get my dual-boot configuration back???
When you say "now boots into FC1 ONLY!" do you mean you're only given that option at boot? or you're not even given a choice (ie. shown the boot menu) and it just boots as though all you have installed is Fedora?
When I boot, the system pauses at a console-looking screen that says the following:
Syslinux 2.06 blah..blah..Copyright..blah..blah
Press <Return> (or wait 10 seconds) to boot your Linux system from /dev/hdb2. You may overwrite the default Linux kernel parameters by typing "linux <parms>"followed by <return> if you would like.
