Can't install Fedora

No matter what mode I attempt to install Fedora Core 1 from... the installation fails. It fails when trying to run anaconda (or the error is preventing anaconda from running). The error is: bad cpio, anaconda failed to start. I installed RH9 and I'm planning on installing fedora using apt-get or YUM, unless someone can shed light on my problem (I would much rather install from a clean install). Any information regarding either of my install methods would be much appreciated.

when fedora first boots you should have a chance to load a differnent setup. I believe that apic support might cause that. I forgot how to disable it but I think that you can press f2 to get to a help boot screen.

I got it to work, I just had to use the noprobe option, in case anyone else ran into this problem. Fedora works fine now.
