booting troubles

i installed core 2 with a dual boot replacing the working copy of core 1 but the thing freezes at initial boot during enabling swap space, dos still works but core 2 won't
also during the install it told me that the partition table was not written correctly due to bad bios info, however i ignored it

The first thing to do is to boot a rescue CD and use:
fdisk -l /dev/hda
to list out your partition table and see what shape it is in.

Same problem with XP

I am experiencing the same problems and I did the rescue and the list but I am not sure what to do now. I am new to working with linux but I really want to get this working. XP won't boot and neither will Fedora, it sits at the Enabling Swap space. I need help immediately, all help is greatly appreciated. I am using two hard drives vice one.

There is an article on Slashdot explaining that there is a problem with Fedora Core 2 dual booting with Windows. No solution is given.

http://slashdot.org/articles/04/05/2...id=110&tid=187

Here is the Fedora bugzilla report.
