I have now Fedora Core2 test3 and I installed it but I have the folloing point;
1- When booting, it says X is not configured and the computer tries to start x-configuration utilities, but after few seconds my monitor stops working (just as If I had hated the computer) which means that it could not make the x configurator run and stops responding.
How may I configure X from the shell mode? You know I will have to do that from the rescue mode-as I have no way to loging to the system.
Instead of save mode, why don't you change your default init (/etc/inittab) so that your computer boots without X? This eliminates having to use save mode to configure your X.
Then you can locate xf86config and start it. Try to configure that way.
I've no experience with Fedora but this is basic linux so this should work..
Thank you rottie,
jeru, how may i do this edit?
I mean I have gone through it and I have discovered that it knows nothing about monitor type and mouse and many other things!
I would like to have a menu driven configurator so I can choose from it.
