Where is a good site to download fedora core 8


where is a good site to download fedora core 8 start up disk so that i only run fedora by itself

Those are not locations, but types of downloads. You can get the regular X86 version which will work with just about any PC, then there is X86_64 which is for 64bit processors though either of these two will work on a 64bit machine. "PPC" is for MAC's if I'm not mistaken.

Beyond that, you have the choice of how to download the DVD image. Which I leave up to you.

Most computers will me i386 named after the old 8086,386, and 486 CPUs also known as x86

Im not sure what PPC means. I always assumed it was Pocket PC (PDA)
