Needed A Good Site To Download A Distro!!


hey guys,

i have been using Ubuntu 5.10 for a long time. Now i wanna try some other good distro..
I have iso.linuxquestions.org...., Although the site is ok, but once i get disconnected from a mirror, i am not able to resume my download, it says connection refused or site disconnected u in the beginning..?

wats all this?? are there any other good sites??

please help!!!

Yes it does--just now went there: http://distrowatch.com/
The lazy way of course is to simply type "distrowatch" in the Google window. Of course you have your "Googlebar" installed---yes?

I almost recommended linuxiso.org as well as I used to download from there.. but unfortunatly they don't sem to be maintaining the site very well

Debian 3.0 instead of 3.1r1
Fedora Core 3 instead of Core 4 (or is Core 5 out now ? )
if you check through their download links they are mostly stale

Sad really because it used to be a geat site to locate iso downloads.

LinuxISO used to be one of my recommended sites too, but for all practical purposes it looks like it has been abandoned. That's not intended as criticism, just an observation of what I've seen. The last update in the News section is from April 8 2005, and for many of the distros they list, they are typically at least one version behind, usually two or three.

Distrowatch is great, but so is LQ ISO
