This is an old version of the library from the libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 package, which hasn't been around since Dapper (I'm assuming from your info that you are using Ubuntu).

You can download the deb package file from any of the mirrors, such as mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu. It can be installed using 'dpkg -i libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb'. Given that it is for a different release of Ubuntu, it isn't guaranteed to work. If the installation causes problems, then use 'dpkg -P libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb' to purge it.

Welcome to LQ.

And for Fedora, the package name is : compat-libstdc++-296

1) su
2) yum install compat-libstdc++-296

An exact URL is only possible, when you tell which Linux.
Fedora 12 ? Ubuntu 8.10 ?
