Exclamation Removing old Synaptic and Installing a new one

Hi everyone,
When I upgraded to Fedora 2 from Red Hat 9 I found that a lot of the programs that I had installed before didnt work. The one program that I use a lot is Synaptic since it solves my dependencies problems for me. However, fedora wont let me uninstall this program so that I can install a new one. Any one have any idea how to do this. Thanks,

Did you try rpm -e synaptic as root?

That should work.
