Problems installing Xampp for fedora

I try to untar and place it in an /opt/ directory/
I used this shell on the command line

Code:

tar xvfz xampp-linux-1.5.1.tar.gz -C /opt

I reciever this error message:

Code:

tar: xampp-linux-1.5.1.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

If you are using Fedora Core 5 it has the latest apache, php and mysql so you can install them using yum or yumex. As for the xampp problem, it seems like your package could be corrupt, so download it again.

I'd like thank you for that.
Now about the LAMPP installation this XAMPP program is just a bit easier than trying to manually install. Especially for a novice(at best) like myself.
