NVME Transport endpoint is not connected

I keep losing connection to my NVME drive. How do I figure out what's going on here?

Start by providing some useful information.

Is this a laptop or desktop? Make and model please.

Is this correct? If not, what distro, and release?

Look in the system logs for clews. Post any results that look interesting.

All I can see is the drive in not mounted. How do you mount it? fstab entry?

What happens if you do a mount -a as root? ( or sudo ).

Have you looked at SMART drive status? If not, look there for clews.

Heat can be a factor with NVME drives. If this disconnect happens once in a while, when was the last time you got the dust out of the system? Maybe its time.

Figured it out as far as I know.

It's a desktop built by me. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jaison...d/#view=wWyFt6

Running windows and Fedore 38 XFCE

The access I had to the drive in windows would still be there but all the folders were empty. Eventually it just disappeared altogether even in UEFI BIOS.

I bought Crucial P5 Plus 1TB Gen4 and Crucial P5 Plus 2TB Gen4 drives to replace the existing NVME drives. The plan was to replace the Kingston with the 2TB P5 and throw the Kingston into the Thinkpad that needs more storage. Apparently my system wasn't agreeing with the 2TB P5 gen 4 in the gen 3 slot. It was up less than a day and the drive would constantly drop off. I thought the drive had overheated and kill itself. I decided to swap the gen 3 Sabrent and gen 4 crucial around to match the appropriate lanes. The drive appears to be working ok with no weird errors now.
