new installation point

Hey guys,
I a running FC3 on a few machines and I have made the installation media available via and NFS share. Now I would like to be able to install new software from that share on all machines when I use the Add New Software app. Currenlty this app wants to use the installation CDs. How do I make it use the NFS share instead?

Firstly you need to mount the NFS share on the local workstation, something like /media/packages

Next specify that "system-config-packages" should use that resource, like

vi /usr/share/system-config-packages/config.py

Then about 20 lines down, set: url = "file:///media/packages"

save then test.

This also works from an rsync mirror with http/ftp.

BU.
