Exclamation mouting LVM. /dev/VolGroup and knoppix

I am trying to remaster Knoppix, and to get the files of the disk (preserving permissions etc.) you need to boot off the disk, mount you r hd, and copy the files. I booted off the disk, but then realized serveral things. My /boot and windows partitions were mounted (how often does NTFS get better support than a linux partition?) but /dev/hda3 cannot be mounted, and /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 is nowhere to be found! How do I mount my harddisk. I have determined hda3 and/or my root partition are 'Linux LVM' according to fdisk! HELP!

You should be able to mount it like this:
#mount /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
(it's only readable as root)
