Just installed Core 3...PROBLEM

I just installed core 3 on another machine and this time no set up came up. When I turn on the computer a black screen comes up that wants a username and password, but I don't have a username and password yet. Any idea what the problem could be?

Username: root
Password: your root password that you set during installation, if you didn't set a root password then leave this blank.
