iptables in Linux Fedora Core 2

Dear Sir/Madam:

I installed the basic Linux Fedora Core 2 on my PC, without the setup of firewall, eth0 interface, DHCP etc.. When under the /etc/sysconfig/ directory, there is no iptables file for firewall setup, only the iptables_config. Does the Linux Fedora Core 2 no include the iptables file or my setup/installation got some problem?

thanks and regards!
d.s.

The file /etc/sysconfig/iptables is created by the firewall config utility or by saving your active set of rules with the iptables-save command into that file: service iptables save does that, too, if you've edited your rules manually. There's no other way how to create the file unless you run the firewall config utility: system-config-securitylevel
