inSTALLING GRUB ON ROOT PARTITION

if i dont install grub in MBR but in first sector of my boot partiton what shall i do to boot??

You need to give us more information about what you are trying to do? What distro are you using?

You need a bootloader on the mbr. If you have multiple distros you can have one on the mbr and and other grubs installed to root, then boot each one from the mbr one with chainloader entries

    chainloader (hd0,2)+1

Make that partition the active partition.
