I can not execute compilied programs

I'm using Fedora3 with all the default packages and kernel.
Anything I compile, i can not execute because it claims I do not have permission.
It's weird, these are the attached permissions:
Code:
-rwxrwxr-x 1 guitarfella guitarfella 4739 Apr 23 13:07 a.out
I am executing the file using
Code:
./a.aout
Even as root it returns
Code:
bash: ./a.out: Permission denied

Thanks mate, you helped me out a lot!
I had mounted a seperate partition using the users option, which automatically applies noexec
