OK, trying to setup my HP 6980. It was initialized on a WinXP system and seems to be setup to run already, although no computer in the house ready to use it. HAHA. (Reloading all systems)

Why are you trying this??? Fedora Core 6 has the updated hplip-1.6.10 rpm packages available, for example;

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...fc6.4.i386.rpm

As a suggestion as root type; yum -y update

When done please reboot the system then use the cups configuration http://127.0.0.1:631 tool to setup your printer. Suggest you try using JetDirect and the IP address of the wireless interface with the port number (usually 9100) as suggested from the HP manual.
