how to setup Huawei E170 HSPA USB stick modem in fedora 8


Hello,

i want to install Huawei E170 HSPA USB stick modem in fedora 8 but i get some problems , i have downloaded the usb_modeswitch and installed some files to get it to be detected automatically in /usr/sbin/ , i have also installed UMTSmon so the problem is when i plug in my USB stick the UMTSmon doesn't detect it even the network manager.

can you help me please?

Hello,
I succeed to install my USB Stick modem but i want to connect it using umtsmon apllication and i get this message in PPP stdout :

Using interface ppp0
Connect : ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyUSB0
Modem hangup
Connection terminated.

so what can i do?? help me
