Welcome to LQ.
Simply : 1) su <enter-password>
2) yum install gcc-c++
Then the package gcc-c++ is installed, and will provide /usr/bin/g++
The most common 17,000 programs are available :
yum search <name> ( or part of name.)
I.e. no need to compile any of those. An install with yum should be preferred.
