Not really "suffering", but not great either
I could not have voted "perfect", but I wanted to add a note to my "suffering" vote.
I am not "suffering" in the manner that I cannot use it, or that I am miserable by my choice of distro. I like Fedora (core 2) very much, it's just that it's different. I have unplugged and replaced my Win98 system of many years with my new FC2 box, and would more accurately describe it as "growing pains".
A few examples:
I have an older model USB CompactFlash card reader that I have yet to get FC2 to use.
My printer/scanner/copier (also USB) has been identified as a printer successfully, but I have not yet been able to test scanning (mostly due to lack of time at the moment -- so it may really work and I just don't know).
I have obtained a Magneto-Optical drive with removable disks, but cannot get the system to automount the disks like a Zip drive.
I received an mpeg by e-mail the other day, but cannot get FC2 to open it -- I have to install mplayer and somehow get FC2 to associate videos with it.
So, it's not perfect, but I like it. It's fast, fun, and not prone to the worms and viruses that we get at work on an almost daily basis now.
I think I'll keep at it for a while......
