Filesystem Usage Question/Problem
I have been using RedHat ES3 for the past year and recently switched to
Fedora Core 4. I took all the defaults during the install, to include setting up
the partitions and filesystems. It now looks like I am out of disk space as I cannot even do security updates, nor login with GUI. Here is what my filesystems look like when doing a "df":
FileSystem Blks Used Avail User% Mounted On
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 8538440 8536768 0 100% /
/dev/hda1 102454 11947 85217 13% /boot
/dev/shm 192288 0 192288 0% /dev/shm
I can't get this to line up properly when I do "preview"....
What the heck is that VolGroup that is using all the space?
What the heck is that shm that is using nothing?
Sorry to sound so dumb, but I'm used to seeing filesystems like
/
/root
/home
/usr
Is there anyway of moving the space around without repartitioning and reloading the software?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide..
