I am working on Fedora 13 and mips based embedded linux board.
I tried setting Fedora 13 as nfs root and embedded linux as client
When I tried mounting on embedded linux side, below messsage comes

# mount -t nfs 192.168.2.131:/home/aaa /mnt
portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out
RPC: failed to contact portmap (errno -5).
portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out
RPC: failed to contact portmap (errno -5).
lockd_up: makesock failed, error=-5
portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out
RPC: failed to contact portmap (errno -5).

It took considerable time to this message comes, and I can't enter command at that time.
But finally it is mounted but I should wait long.

some web pages say I should run portmap and nfs service but I couldn't run portmap on my Fedora 13. so I just started nfs service.
Also I can't find portmap package with either yum or program install UI.

Please inform me how to solve this problem.

I just solved this problem with other's help

adding -o nolock option in mount command solved this problem.
