I want to install FC5 from local hard drive. I tried like this. I had created one partition i.e. /dev/hda3 with labeled as a /setup and coped all FC5 files under
FC5 directory .I start setup with 1st fc5 CD with Linux askmethod by selecting install media as a local hard drive. Then I selected drive as a /dev/hda3 and directory name /setup/FC5.It gives error that failed to read directory /tmp/hidimage//setup/FC5 no such file or directory But I am able to install FC5 from SATA hdd.with same procedure define above.
Please help me.

Personally I not know if it works what you want. In your situation I would install the very basics of Fedora Core 5, what would not take to long. Then setup a repo directing to the folder/hard drive and cmplete installation of all needed packages.
