Fedora 9, pirut alternative?
Guys,
So after getting F9 installed on my lovely Acer Aspire 1, and getting the wireless working.. I'm kinda stumped at this next part.
I've used the pirut tool in Fedora for a little while now, and only for the "system-install-packages" part.
So, on Fedora 7 or 8 (maybe before those too) : /usr/bin/system-install-packages was VERY useful when you had an RPM and simply wanted it installed!
KDE->right_click->action->install
Firefox->open_with->System Installer
Gnome->I never use
**BUT** Fedora 9 doesn't seem to have this handy little tool which saved me bringing up the command prompt, cd-ing to the dir, and typing "rpm --install ./*.rpm<tab>".
Is there any comparable tool in the repo's?
I can't find anything, and google just keeps returning anaconda.
Searching Yum I get loads of stuff about building rpm's or yum, but no pirut replacement.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
