I have downloaded the Fedora Core 6 DVD iso image and burned it. I am trying to install it now and each time I get to the point where it searches for the Fedore Core CD to basically start install and it says Fedora Core 6 CD not found when I have the DVD in the drive and it boots to the starting screen and you press enter to boot graphical interface etc. For some reason it's not recognizing something. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how I could fix it? Thanks in advance.
Haven't run into it on DVD but on CD did one system. Typing "ide=nodma" at the boot: prompt helped it get past that.
Issue is the initial boot of DVD is done from the BIOS but after it starts the install it is Fedora itself trying to run a driver to read the DVD.
i typed that in at the boot: and it says Could not find kernel image: ide=nodma so i am at a loss....im really new to linux so really have no clue waht to try. thanks for the help anyway
