Fedora 5 reset/restart problem

Anyone got idea why my newly installed Fedora 5 does not boot? After GRUB it starts to boot until it gets to the line "Booting the kernel" then reset/restarts the computer and the process is repeated until stopped manually.

I have Intel PIII computer where I did not have any problem using RH9. I have used RH9 on PII and PIII computers with no problem.

Thanks for your reply Ekdya

I have w98 and xp together with fedora5. All three OSs was freshly installed. Booting was ok with 98 and xp before installing fedora5. And still they work fine if I choose them on GRUB start.

The same machine did not give me any problem when I had win98,xp and RH9 before.

It's odd, normally if there's a problem booting the kernel, it gives you an error message, doesn't reset and start again.
So you get no message after "booting the kernel"???

No message at all. Just resets and restart the machine.

Now I have installed latest Ubuntu linux in the same partition..it is working fine. I just need an answer why not Fedora 5 when RH9 and Ubuntu are fine there in the same place.
