Configuration file I modified will be reset after restart.

I modify some configuration files, like:

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/default
/etc/fonts/fonts.conf

The first one is to use the mouse theme I like, and the second just is set the font I prefer.

However, after I restart, both of them will be modified back to what it was automatically after I reboot my system.

Any idea?

If you were able to solve the problem you should tell everyone how you did it for future reference if someone is having a similar problem

yes, darin3200, you are right.
Sorry about that.
Actually I don't have problem, those configuration files will be reset because there is a script will reinstall xfree86 package, so those files will be set to default.
