Hello,
I have been trying to install Fedora 5 in my PC for a week now, but failed every single time.
Thanks to Lenard I found out that I was trying to install from the wrong images. I downloaded the right ones but now I found out that the CD 1 is failing the integrity test.
I already ready try to remake the image using a different brand of media, use another CDR, use another burn utility, setting it to 4x from 52x, etc.
I try to start the bittorrent again just to be absolutely sure that it has finished, but it was indeed at 100%.
I choose to continue just to see what happens ad I got the following error:
exec of anaconda failed: no such file or directory
install exited abnormally
I did a search on the ISO image and found that there is no file or directory with that name.
Sorry for my ignorance, this is probably a very stupid question but: can I add the missing files or something like that to fix the image??? (assuming that is only a problem with the installer)
My connection is too slow to attempt a third download, every single suggestion will be really appreciated
