Just upgraded to FC3 from FC2 but now k3b is failing to start. This is what I'm getting when run from a console as root:

kbuildsycoca running...
KWrited - Listening on Device /dev/pts/3
Alarm clock

The k3b splash screen shows but then exits without any further messages. I've done a google for similarly reported problems from others but had no joy. The setup for k3b runs ok and does not report any problems.

Here are my versions of k3b, cdrecord etc (did a yum update after FC3 upgrade):

k3b-0.11.17-0.0.2.kde
cdrecord-2.01.1-5
cdrdao-1.1.9-6

Anyone else hit same problem? What does the Alarm clock mean?

Ok, it works without any problem if i remove the attached USB external hardrive.

In both cases, it's not k3b from FC3.
