Hi,
So when the FC3 was coming I thought I put it. I also rebuild my PC with Abit P4P800 mother board. I also got a 160Gb Maxtor Serial ATA. I have an other ATA 80Gb disk also.
I have installed Win XP on sda1, first I tried to install the FC3 on the hda.
At install the automatic partitionig is refused with cannot create partition, and mount /boot message or something.
I have partitioned by hand, but always problem with cylinder start and others end was overlapped. All the time! I tried at last 3 times.
I find info says the Fedora (linux) does not like sda and hda in the same time.
Ok I moved to the sda, I have made free space the last 40G of the 160. After install. There was a GRUB error about the disk geometry! I realized that the BIOS cannot boot form a far part of the disk. Ok, yesterday I copied a lot and made a free space from the 40G of the sda drive.
Install was OK. Fine. I have copied the boot sector fo the sda3 (/boot). I put it under win boot loader. Start FC3, and....
GRUB
after halt.
Am I wrong? Is it GRUB problem? Or what?
Thanx,
Loop
