encoding mp3 files with grip in Fedora Core 1

I am using Grip in Fedora Core 1. I installed Lame so I could encode mp3's
with Grip. After Grip rips the CD it does not encode it. Any help would be
appreciated. Joe

lame /path/to/file.wav /path/to/file.mp3
I don't think it works if there are spaces in the filenames so you might need to rename them. And you need to have write permissions in the folder you're trying to write to. You can use cdparanoia to get the .wav files of the CD. Grip's a waste of space.
